How long does a message take to be delivered to its recipients?

Typically, SMS are delivered instantly to the recipients. There are instances when messages can be delayed. These include peak times when many people send Text Messages at the same time, or when a cell phone is not within a network coverage area. When there are delays, the mobile providers' Networks will retry sending the Text Messages for up to a week.

1. Single SMS and Auto-replies are usually delivered within 5 seconds.

2. Group SMS campaigns are delivered depending on the number of recipients.  For example, if the campaign is scheduled to go out to 10,000 recipients, it will take approximately 5 minutes to process the SMS from the scheduled start time.

3. MMS takes about 1 minute to deliver 1 MMS, because it is a photo or video file that needs to be processed by our system and the carriers.
